About

Palimpsest Festival

Now in its 3rd year, Palimpsest is the focal point of Harvest Time's calender. Another year is here and we hope the sound will fill the church, your ears, eyes and steeples.

After five years of promoting music in Cambridge, inspiration came a short time ago for a one day event to be held within a church, somewhere in Cambridge. After a little research, All Saints Church was decided as the most suitable and best venue. After some correspondence with The Churches Conservation Trust, we were given permission to hire the church.

So, what's in the name?

Palimpsest

1. A manuscript, typically of papyrus or parchment, that has been written on more than once, with the earlier writing incompletely erased and often legible.
2. An object, place, or area that reflects its history

This festival was in part, many years ago, inspired by the film Wayne's World II. 'If you book them, they will come'.
